Christopher Diaz, 50, was taken into custody on Friday night after the Delray Beach Police Department received a report he met up with a young girl at Ipic Theaters, according to an affidavit.
Diaz appeared to have been caught in a sting set up by 561 Predator Catchers, a self-described predator hunting group, who arranged for him to meet an adult woman posing as a minor, per the criminal complaint.
The woman, who was referred to as Olsen in the affidavit, told officers that she and Diaz had matched on multiple dating apps just two days before they met in person, the report stated.
The disgraced deputy then told Olsen to move their conversation to iMessages, where she allegedly told him she was 15, a fact he ‘disregarded’ as he proceeded to communicate with her, the document read.
Diaz allegedly often made the conversations sexually charged and even masturbated during Facetime calls with Olsen ‘on multiple occasions,’ according to the affidavit.
When they met in person, Diaz’s alleged sexual advances only grew more intense as he ‘immediately’ touched her face and told her ‘I want to kiss you’, the report states.
The alleged victim also told police that Diaz touched ‘her all over her upper chest’ on top of her clothing, even though she repeatedly told him ‘no,’ the affidavit detailed.
After ‘feeling uneasy due to Diaz’s persistence in touching her,’ the affidavit says they stepped outside where Diaz was accosted by 561 Predator Catchers creator Dustin Lampros and Russian YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy.
Lampros, who is also an MMA fighter, livestreamed the raid on Diaz on Kick as he asked Diaz about his interactions with Olsen.
He admitted he knew the teen girl, worked as a police officer with Miami-Dade, and that he sent her picture of his penis, telling Lampros and Zdorovetskiy: ‘I’m not going to lie.’
When asked why he decided to meet with a teenager, Diaz said: ‘I was hoping that she was actually 18.’
Lampros asked: ‘So you were taking the chance on becoming a pedophile?’
‘I wasn’t gonna do anything today,’ Diaz responded.
After finding out Diaz worked as a police officer, Lampros exploded, stating: ‘You’re here to serve and protect and you’re caressing a 15-year-old’s face?’

After police arrived, Diaz was placed in handcuffs and booked into Palm Beach County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of battery touching or striking.
During his first court appearance late Saturday he was ordered not to contact the victim and posted his $1,000 bond. He is set to appear in court again on February 20.
After his arrest, Sheriff Rosie Cordero-Stutz with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office condemned Diaz for his alleged crime and said he was terminated as a result.
‘After reviewing the law-enforcement information related to this case, I have directed that termination proceeds begin immediately. The deputy has been relieved of duty without pay, effective immediate,’ Cordero-Stutz wrote on X.
She added: ‘I am outraged by the arrest of one of my deputies on criminal charges involving alleged contact with an individual who posed as a minor.
‘The behavior is unacceptable and represents a serious betrayal of the oath we swear and the trust our community placed in us to protect our children.’
