What started as a normal night out in downtown Los Angeles ended in chaos after a violent fight inside a restaurant left four women injured.

Police were called to Zaya Restaurant around 5:30 p.m. Sunday following reports of a stabbing, according to multiple local outlets.

Authorities say the violence erupted as a group of diners was finishing their meal when an argument suddenly broke out — and quickly spiraled out of control.

By the time it was over, multiple women had been attacked.

According to LAPD, two women were stabbed with a knife, while another was injured with a broken bottle. A fourth woman, who suffered a cut to her neck, managed to leave the restaurant and had not been located at the time of the initial reports.

The scene turned tense fast.

Two of the women involved were taken into custody at the restaurant before being transported to the hospital. Police say they are not searching for any additional suspects.

The victims suffered a range of injuries, including cuts to the arms, back, and neck, described as mild to moderate.

The restaurant later broke its silence.

In a statement posted to social media, Zaya Restaurant acknowledged the incident and emphasized that guest safety remains their top priority.

“While some situations develop unexpectedly and are beyond our control, the safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority,” the statement read. The restaurant also thanked employees and first responders for their quick action.

Officials have not yet released further details about what sparked the argument or the identities of those involved, and the investigation is ongoing.
