In one of the most bizarre encounters to hit a Florida Walmart parking lot, a 30-year-old man was arrested after allegedly showing up completely naked and chasing down store employees in the middle of the night.

According to the Lake City Police Department, Rakime Triondre Johnson was taken into custody on October 8 around 2:45 a.m. after officers responded to reports of a “suspicious person acting erratically” at a Walmart off U.S. Highway 90 in Lake City, a small town about an hour west of Jacksonville.

When police arrived, they learned that a fully nude man had been running through the parking lot, aggressively pursuing employees before darting off into a wooded area nearby.

Officers eventually found Johnson crawling on his hands and knees in the woods, clearly agitated, paranoid, and mostly incoherent. When they tried speaking to him, he reportedly remained nonverbal and appeared disoriented. Concerned for his safety, officers restrained him and called for paramedics to evaluate his condition.

He was taken to Lake City Medical Center, where police say he initially couldn’t provide his name—though at one point claimed it was “Raheem.” Once cleared medically, he was taken to the Columbia County Detention Facility, where a fingerprint scan revealed his actual identity.

Johnson is facing charges of exposure of sexual organs and resisting an officer without violence. He’s also been identified as homeless and has requested indigent status in court. His arraignment is scheduled for October 14.
