A shocking road rage incident in Minnesota has left one man injured and two people facing serious charges.

Authorities say Clarence Lyons, 37, and Patience Jentzen, 31, were arrested after a violent confrontation escalated into an alleged attack with a golf club.

The incident unfolded on March 23 in Robbinsdale, where police responded to reports of an assault near an intersection. When officers arrived, they found a man bleeding from the head.

According to investigators, the victim had been driving behind two vehicles — a brown sedan and a red sedan — when he noticed what appeared to be a road rage situation. Police say the brown sedan sped past the red car, cut it off, and slammed on the brakes, forcing it to stop.

The victim, who was driving a silver SUV behind them, pulled over and got out to try to intervene.

That’s when things took a violent turn.

Police say Lyons, who was a passenger in the brown sedan, got out of the car along with Jentzen, who was driving. After a heated argument, Lyons allegedly went back to the car, grabbed a golf club, and charged at the victim.

Investigators say he began beating the man with the club, and the two ended up fighting on the ground.

Meanwhile, Jentzen allegedly took things even further. Police say she went into the victim’s SUV, grabbed his keys, and then joined the attack, also swinging the golf club at him.

After the assault, the pair reportedly fled the scene in the brown sedan.

Two days later, police tracked them down and arrested both suspects. Authorities say both made comments suggesting the victim “got what he deserved.”

Lyons has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Jentzen faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and aggravated robbery.

Both were booked into the Hennepin County Jail and have since posted bond. They are scheduled to appear in court later this month.

The case remains under investigation.
