A terrifying moment caught on video is leaving drivers shaken after a Florida man who stopped to help at a crash scene ended up fighting for his life.

Hans Hamilton was simply trying to do the right thing Monday when he pulled over along the 429 Expressway near Walt Disney World after spotting a white car smashed into a guardrail.

But what happened next turned into a nightmare.

According to reports, the driver — later identified as 44-year-old Daniel Coman — had stumbled out of his vehicle and collapsed on the grass. Believing the man needed help, Hamilton got out of his car and approached him.

That’s when everything changed in an instant.

The seemingly unconscious man suddenly sprang to his feet, jumped onto the hood of Hamilton’s Tesla, and smashed the windshield, shocking dashcam footage shows.

Seconds later, the situation spiraled into pure chaos.

Coman allegedly tackled Hamilton to the ground and unleashed a brutal attack, repeatedly punching him in the head and body for more than 30 seconds.

“This person tried to kill me,” Hamilton later said. “I don’t want anyone else to go through what I did.”

Desperate to survive, Hamilton fought back, striking his attacker in the throat before managing to break free.

But the violence didn’t stop there.

When an Orange County sheriff’s deputy arrived, Coman allegedly turned his aggression toward law enforcement, approaching in a threatening stance and attempting to swing at the officer. With Hamilton’s help, deputies were finally able to restrain him.

Authorities later revealed Coman was allegedly involved in another hit-and-run crash just miles away earlier that day, as well as a separate criminal mischief incident.

Hamilton, meanwhile, was rushed to the hospital with a brain bleed, concussion, multiple contusions, and four broken ribs. A GoFundMe has since been launched to help cover his mounting medical bills and car repairs.

“The physical pain and trauma from that day have been overwhelming,” Hamilton said, adding that the emotional toll has been just as severe.

Coman now faces a long list of charges, including battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, assault, and criminal mischief.

He was expected in court Tuesday but missed his appearance after reportedly being hospitalized for unknown reasons. As of Thursday night, he remains behind bars at the Orange County Jail.
