A Florida woman is facing several charges after police say she crashed an SUV into a parked car in Daytona Beach, sending the vehicle across a front lawn in a dramatic collision caught on video.
The Daytona Beach Police Department released home security footage showing the SUV slamming into a parked Honda with enough force to shove the car across the yard and completely out of the camera’s view.
Elizabeth Boucher, 24, was arrested on Aug. 30 following the crash.
She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, DUI resulting in property damage or injury, refusing to submit to DUI testing, touching or striking, resisting an officer without violence and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
She was released from jail the following day.
Body-camera footage released by police shows Boucher appearing unsure about what had just happened.

“I guess I hit the front light of their car,” she told officers. “But I don’t know what really happened.”
An officer quickly corrected her.
“You didn’t just hit the front of the car,” he responded. “You just took the car completely off.”
When officers asked Boucher for her driver’s license, she handed them a passport instead.
“Please don’t take me to jail over this,” she pleaded.
Police then asked whether she would agree to take a sobriety test, but Boucher refused and began walking away.
“Just because you don’t want to talk to us, doesn’t mean we’re done with our investigation,” an officer told her as she was placed in handcuffs.
Boucher then appeared confused about why she was being arrested.
“Why are you doing this?” she asked. “I thought we were all friends.”
“We’re all friends,” one officer replied. “But we still have a job to do.”
Boucher told officers she was not resisting and said she wanted to make sure her daughter “gets what she needs.”
She then asked if she was going to jail.
“Yes,” an officer replied.
The owner of the parked vehicle also told police that Boucher had allegedly smacked her and said she wanted to press charges, according to the released footage.
Later, while sitting in the back of a police vehicle, Boucher again questioned what was happening.
“Why am I sitting here all alone? Why is nothing happening?” she asked.
“That’s normally what happens when you’re arrested,” an officer responded.
Boucher has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
She is due back in court in October, according to court records.
Her attorney declined to comment when contacted by phone Wednesday.
