Demarcus Cook, half-brother of Minnesota Vikings star running back Dalvin Cook has been charged with first-degree murder in Maimi, Florida. Demarcus was charged with first-degree murder and robbery after allegedly exchanging gunfire with a 17-year-old during a drug deal gone bad.

As reported by the Miami-Herald, Demarcus Cook,18, exchanged gunfire with a man inside a car outside a home near Northwest Sixth Street and 31st Avenue on Tuesday. When police arrived at the scene, they took the victim to the Jackson Memorial Hospital where the doctors tried to resuscitate the man but failed. Tateanna Price, mother of Davin Cook spoke with the Miami-Herald and confirmed that her son and Cook’s half-brother had been seriously injured during the shooting. Not too long ago, three years to be precise, Demarcus had been the victim of a drive-by shooting during which he was shot in the chest when he was just 14 years old.
