A 64-year-old woman is suspected of driving under the influence after she allegedly fell asleep in her vehicle while outside a Florida elementary school last week.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Catherine Leslie Rowe was arrested last Thursday after parents at Frontier Elementary School were forced to drive around her SUV while in a car line to pick up children.

Concerned witnesses approached the vehicle and found Rowe asleep at the wheel, the outlet reported, citing court records.

Once Rowe was woken up, she drove into a curb before driving away, according to reports.

Largo police sent officers to Rowe’s home a short time later and found Rowe with a blood alcohol content of 0.216 and 0.210, per the Tampa Bay Times.

Florida’s legal alcohol limit in Florida is 0.08.

Rowe, who was released from jail on bail, is now facing charges of driving under the influence and child neglect.

She had pled not guilty.

  1. This has to be a grandma picking up a grandchild if she’s 64. I feel bad for the kid she was picking up since the kids will never stop bullying them about this. Drunk in the middle of the day what a pathetic mess this woman is.
