In a shocking case out of Ohio, a 6-year-old boy was left helpless and severely injured after being mauled by a pit bull while restrained in handcuffs—an act prosecutors say was the culmination of a disturbing pattern of abuse.

The attack took place on August 19, 2024, at a home in Savannah, Ohio, where three adults allegedly conspired in the abuse. The boy’s wrists and ankles were bound in handcuffs, leaving him completely defenseless when the dog attacked. Miraculously, the child survived, though he was critically injured.

Now, the adults responsible are facing serious prison time.

Robert Michalski Jr., the owner of both the home and the pit bull, was found guilty on two counts of complicity to endanger a child and one count of tampering with evidence. He faces up to nine years behind bars and is scheduled for sentencing on July 21. Authorities say Michalski fled the scene with the dog and was later discovered hiding in a cubbyhole inside his home during a police search.

His co-defendants—Angelina Williams, the boy’s mother, and her partner, Taylor Marvin-Brown—both pleaded guilty to all seven charges against them. Each faces a possible sentence of up to 40 years in prison. Williams is set to be sentenced on June 30, while Marvin-Brown will be sentenced on July 14.

Prosecutors say all three adults were convicted of engaging in acts that amounted to cruel and prolonged punishment, creating a substantial risk of serious harm. The abuse included the physical restraint of the child in a manner deemed excessive and dangerous.

Fortunately, both the young victim and his sister are now in a safe environment under the care of a legal guardian, where officials say they are receiving the support and protection they need.

Attorneys for the three defendants have not issued any public comment on the case.

  1. Prison’s ‘general population’ should be their first stop after sentencing and internment. Crimes against defenseless children are high on prison population’s hate list. Let the inmates administer appropriate justice the American legal system regretfully cannot do.

  2. I was a police officer in Florida decades ago.
The biggest scumbag losers we arrested were more often than not from OHIO.

  3. Just feed these evil people to the wolves then they would have the same feelings as what they did to a young boy
