An Oregon man has been charged with murdering his girlfriend and allegedly enlisting his 15-year-old son to help dispose of her body in the woods, police say.

William Glen Blake, 56, is accused of killing 38-year-old Jennifer Ruth Stuart during an argument at their Oregon City home in August. Her body was discovered in Mount Hood National Forest on September 1, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Blake’s 15-year-old son, whose name has not been released, was arrested for allegedly helping his father move the body. He faces charges of abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence and is being held at the Clackamas County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center. Another son, 17, was questioned by police but has not been charged.

Blake himself is facing multiple charges, including second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with evidence. He is being held without bail.

Authorities have not released details about how Stuart was killed, but the medical examiner confirmed her death was a homicide.

“She was a good girl, but she’s in a better place I guess,” Stuart’s friend Mike Chaney told KPTV. “When I found out, it hit me in my stomach, it hurt. Why do we have to lose the good ones when there are so many bad people out there.”
