A Louisiana man is in custody after authorities say he carried out a horrifying attack that left a woman with severe facial injuries.

Brandon Patrick, 31, has been arrested and charged with domestic abuse battery causing serious bodily injury and false imprisonment, according to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The disturbing incident unfolded late last month at a home in Ponchatoula, a small town near Lake Pontchartrain, roughly 50 miles northwest of New Orleans.

Investigators say the violence escalated during a domestic dispute, with Patrick allegedly biting off part of the woman’s face.

While the brutal injury occurred on January 27, authorities believe the situation had been unfolding for days.

“During the investigation, it was learned that the dispute actually began over the weekend, and the victim had been held against her will for days,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. “The injury occurred during her escape. The victim is still hospitalized and undergoing treatment for her extensive injuries.”

After the woman managed to escape and report the attack, Patrick reportedly fled. On January 29, deputies issued a public alert asking for help locating him, warning that he was considered dangerous and wanted in connection with what they described as a gruesome domestic violence case.

Authorities released detailed identifying information, noting that Patrick is an identical twin but has distinctive features, including an old stab wound on his right hand, a half-sleeve tattoo on his left arm featuring a house and scroll, and a full sleeve of tattoos on his right arm. Investigators also said he was believed to have gang affiliations, did not own a vehicle, and may have been asking strangers for rides.

The following day, January 30, Patrick turned himself in.

“Patrick turned himself in to us at our Hammond substation without incident following news reports that included the sheriff recommending he do so before the victim’s family got to him before we could,” Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office public information officer Ashley Rodrigue told Oxygen.com.

Authorities have not released details about the nature of the couple’s relationship but confirmed that the two were living together and that the alleged captivity occurred inside their shared home.

The victim has since been released from the hospital and is continuing her recovery in a safe location, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say additional charges could be filed as more details emerge.

  1. Another head case on the loose. So what now, he gets arrested and sent to jail? To eat free food, and live another day? Do I hear capital punishment? This woman is going to be scared for life, and this dirtbag isn’t put to death? Why not?

  2. Maybe he thought he is a shark .I wonder if someone gave him the same treatment ,what would he like the punishment to be
