A British tourist is dead and his girlfriend is fighting for her life after a chilling suspected drink-spiking incident in Thailand that has left families searching for answers.
Tom Pardhy, 38, suddenly died while vacationing in Bangkok with his girlfriend, Naomi Raksha, 31, on March 6. Just days later, his devastated family confirmed the shocking news online, calling his death “accidental and unexpected.”
What makes the story even more disturbing is what happened to Raksha.
According to a GoFundMe set up by her brother, she became critically ill the same day and had to be rushed to the ICU, where she was placed on a ventilator. Just 24 hours later, Pardhy was found unresponsive.
Now, the family fears something far more sinister may have happened.
Raksha’s mother has claimed the couple may have been given spiked drinks while out in Bangkok — a theory that has sent chills through travelers and sparked growing concern online. Authorities have not confirmed the cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing.
A spokesperson for the UK’s Foreign Office said officials are working with local authorities and supporting Pardhy’s family, but key questions remain unanswered.
Meanwhile, Raksha is still battling to recover after what she described as a near-death ordeal. In an emotional message, she revealed she slipped into a coma, suffered cardiac arrest, and “died multiple times” before being brought back.
“I am beyond grateful to have been given another chance at life,” she wrote. “But that gratitude exists alongside profound grief… I returned alone, without Tom by my side.”
She said Pardhy saved her life — a heartbreaking detail that has only deepened the tragedy.
Friends say Pardhy, a well-known events promoter from London, had traveled to Thailand for what he called a “mental health reset trip.” Instead, it ended in heartbreak.
His family described him as a “beacon of light” in his community, saying he touched lives from the festival scene to the yoga world.
As Raksha continues her recovery and loved ones prepare to say goodbye, the mystery surrounding that night in Bangkok only grows — raising chilling questions about what really happened in the final hours of a trip that was supposed to be life-changing for all the right reasons.
