A disturbing scene unfolded at a Florida playground when a mom allegedly told her own kids to attack another child — and then stepped in to make sure he couldn’t escape.
Authorities say 41-year-old Ketsy Ann Rivera is facing multiple charges after a violent confrontation involving several children spiraled out of control at a community park in Osceola County.
It all started as a disagreement between kids who had been playing together. But things escalated when some of them left and came back with their parents.
That’s when, investigators say, Rivera took things to another level.
According to deputies, she allegedly pushed her two children — ages 8 and 9 — toward a 10-year-old boy and told them to hit him.
But it didn’t stop there.
Officials say Rivera then grabbed the boy by his shirt, holding him in place so he couldn’t run away or defend himself as the two younger kids attacked.
“It was three against one,” a sheriff’s official said, adding that instead of calming the situation, Rivera allegedly made it worse.
The child was left with visible injuries, including swelling around his eye, and was treated at the scene by first responders.
His mother later arrived and pushed for charges.
Rivera was arrested and booked into jail on charges including child abuse and false imprisonment. She has since been released on bond as the case moves forward.
