A Chicago mom says she was left shaken after walking into her apartment and finding complete strangers inside—some of them in her bed.

Yanicee Miles, 27, returned to her first-floor unit early Sunday morning expecting a normal day. Instead, she says she found three people inside her home.

Police say two of the individuals were arrested at the scene and charged with misdemeanor trespassing.

But what Miles saw when she walked in made the situation even more disturbing.

According to her, two of the strangers were naked and lying in her bed.

“I work hard for everything I have—I’ve got three kids,” she can be heard saying in a video she recorded as officers questioned the suspects.

Miles says the apartment complex is nearly abandoned, and this wasn’t the first time something like this has happened.

Just weeks earlier, she says she got a call at work telling her someone had kicked in her door.

“I never expected to come home and actually find people inside,” she said.

Now, the mother of three says she’s struggling to process what happened.

“I’m traumatized, honestly,” she said, adding that she fears incidents like this may be happening more often in parts of the city.

Despite everything, Miles says she’s leaning on her faith to get through it—and even expressed hope that the people involved can get the help they need.
