A routine Costco run in Florida spiraled into chaos when a confrontation at a gas station allegedly turned into a wild street fight involving punches, scratches, and an ax multitool.

Valeria Aguilar, 29, was arrested after police said she got into a violent altercation with another woman at a Costco in Miami on Wednesday, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators say the trouble started at the members-only warehouse’s gas station, where Aguilar was allegedly yelling at other customers as well as a Costco gas station attendant.

During the disturbance, another customer pulled up in a Subaru Forester and reportedly told the attendant to revoke Aguilar’s Costco membership. That comment apparently pushed the situation over the edge.

According to police, Aguilar became upset and chased after the other woman’s vehicle on foot to confront her. But the drama did not end there.

After the Subaru driver pulled away, Aguilar allegedly got back into her own car and followed the woman to a nearby intersection. Once there, police said Aguilar got out of her vehicle, walked up to the Subaru, and punched the woman in the head while she was still sitting in the driver’s seat.

Authorities say Aguilar also scratched the woman’s face and chest while grabbing at her clothing.

But then the fight reportedly took another shocking turn.

According to the affidavit, the Subaru driver reached for an ax multitool and fought back, striking Aguilar in the face and arms. Both women reportedly suffered lacerations during the confrontation.

The other driver then left the scene.

Police responded to the intersection and took Aguilar to a hospital for treatment. After she was treated, officers arrested her and charged her with burglary with assault or battery.

Aguilar was later booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. A judge ordered that she be held without bond. Her next court date was not immediately available.
