An 83-year-old veteran died after prosecutors say a stranger shoved him onto the subway tracks in Manhattan, NY in a horrifying daytime attack that also injured another man.
Authorities say Richard Williams was walking with a cane on the F/Q platform at Lexington Avenue-63rd Street on March 8 when Bairon Hernandez allegedly shoved a 30-year-old man onto the tracks first, then came up behind Williams and pushed him onto the tracks as well. Prosecutors said Williams landed on his face, suffered a brain bleed, and never regained consciousness. He died on March 17.
The younger victim survived the attack and was taken to a hospital in stable condition after injuring his shoulder. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg called the assault “abhorrent” and confirmed that Williams was a veteran.
Now the case has taken an even darker turn. Hernandez has been indicted on second-degree murder, first-degree attempted assault, and second-degree assault charges in connection with the shocking subway violence. He pleaded not guilty on March 30.
Federal immigration officials have also moved to keep Hernandez in custody. According to reports cited by prosecutors and DHS, Hernandez is a Honduran national who had previously been deported four times and had a lengthy criminal history before this latest case.

Another trashy illegal spik. Why can’t someone throw his ass onto the tracks and keep him there until the train comes
