A quiet Colorado community is reeling after a devastating family tragedy left three people dead in what police believe may be a murder-suicide involving a teenage son and his parents.
Officers with the Pueblo Police Department made the grim discovery in the early morning hours of April 4, finding two victims—one lying in the roadway and another inside a nearby vehicle. They were later identified as 40-year-old Glenn Allen Beeman Jr. and 41-year-old Amanda Leigh Manion.
But the horror didn’t end there.
While investigators were still processing that scene, authorities were alerted to another death in Pueblo West. A 19-year-old man had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police quickly connected the cases, identifying him as Glenn Allen Beeman III—the son of the two victims and the suspected attacker.
Officials say the investigation is still in its early stages, and many questions remain unanswered about what led to the shocking chain of events.
Family members are now speaking out as they try to process the unimaginable loss.
Amanda’s brother, Eric Manion, shared the heartbreaking news in a Facebook post, calling the incident a “horrific tragedy.” He revealed that the teen’s parents had been estranged and asked for privacy as the family struggles to understand what happened.
“There is a lot of information we are still sorting through regarding this incident,” he wrote, urging friends and loved ones to be patient as details continue to emerge.
The tragedy is made even more painful by glimpses into what once was.
Just two months ago, Amanda celebrated her son’s 19th birthday with a loving message on social media.
“19 years of being a boy mom! The ups and downs and in-between! I hope you know what I mean when I say I love you always and forever,” she wrote. “Praying for an amazing year full of blessings.”
Now, that message stands as a haunting reminder of how quickly everything changed.
