Bradly Shawn Shadduck (Monroe County Sheriff's Office)

A Florida man has been charged with second-degree murder after authorities say his wife was killed in a violent attack inside their home.

Bradly Shawn Shadduck, 56, is accused in the death of his wife, 62-year-old Lynne Alane Shadduck, following a disturbing scene at the couple’s home in Monroe County, according to reports from Local 10, NBC 6 and the Miami Herald.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home on Thursday, May 28, after Bradly allegedly went to a neighbor’s house and told him to call 911.

According to an arrest report cited by Local 10 and NBC 6, Bradly arrived at the neighbor’s home just before 6 a.m. wearing no clothes and wrapped in a Cleveland Browns blanket.

He allegedly told the neighbor that his “whole house” was full of blood.

When deputies arrived at the couple’s home, they found a terrifying scene.

Authorities said the residence was “in complete disarray,” with broken items, blood smears across the floor and a large pool of blood in the center of the living room.

Bradly was still naked and covered with the blanket when officers found Lynne inside the home.

She was discovered naked and unconscious in a hallway, covered in blood, with injuries to her back, the back of her head and her hands, according to the reports.

When deputies asked Bradly what happened, he allegedly said “things just happened” and repeatedly told them that his wife needed help.

He later claimed the home was in disarray because of “rough sex,” according to the arrest report.

Medics rushed Lynne to Lower Keys Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead later that morning.

According to the arrest report, Bradly allegedly told investigators that when he drinks, he passes out and does not remember anything.

“Bradly doesn’t remember going to his neighbor’s home asking for help,” Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Paul McNalley wrote in the report, according to Local 10. “Bradly then asked for a lawyer.”

Investigators also reviewed video from the neighborhood.

One video allegedly showed Bradly going to his neighbor’s house appearing to have just gotten out of the shower. Another reportedly showed him at a different neighbor’s home less than two hours earlier, banging on windows and doors.

At that time, Bradly was reportedly shirtless and wearing light-colored shorts.

According to the report, he was heard breathing heavily and tried to open the front door by entering a passcode, but was not successful.

Deputies said he then banged on the windows and doors for about two to three minutes before grabbing a railing with both hands and shaking it.

The homeowner later allowed authorities to search the area, where deputies reportedly found two bloody prints on the railing.

After obtaining a search warrant, investigators entered Bradly and Lynne’s home and found blood “throughout the entire residence,” according to the arrest report.

Authorities said a bloody smear on the hallway floor suggested Lynne may have been dragged down the hallway toward the bathroom.

Bradly has been charged with second-degree murder, according to online jail records.

As of Friday morning, May 29, he was being held at the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office jail facility in Key West.

Deputy McNalley wrote in the report that the evidence appeared to show “a significant fight and struggle for the victim,” according to Local 10.

Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay said there was “no threat to the public” as the investigation continues, NBC 6 reported.
