Sara Gilson / Shawn Duffey

An Oklahoma influencer was allegedly murdered by her estranged husband less than two weeks after publicly accusing him of being a pedophile in a chilling TikTok video.

Sara Gilson, 43, posted the disturbing clip on July 11 as part of a viral trend in which users pretend they are being interviewed for a future Netflix documentary.

“Preparing for when Netflix drops a documentary about my soon-to-be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile,” Gilson wrote over footage of herself sitting down for the imaginary interview.

“I wish I was joking,” she added in the caption.

Just 12 days later, Gilson and her estranged husband, Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey, 48, were found dead from gunshot wounds inside her home in Owasso.

A child living at the residence reportedly called 911, and officers arrived at approximately 11:15 p.m. on July 23.

Authorities said Duffey shot Gilson before turning the gun on himself. A family member later identified the pair.

The deadly violence followed years of reported turmoil between the couple.

Gilson filed two protective-order requests against Duffey in 2021, according to court records. Both were later dismissed after she failed to appear at the hearings.

On June 10, Gilson filed another emergency protective order, leading a judge to remove Duffey from the home and order him to remain at least 100 yards away from her. The order was extended on June 23 and was scheduled to remain in effect until Aug. 24.

In the application, Gilson reportedly claimed Duffey owned a gun, threatened to kill himself and then “went on the run.”

A separate woman also filed for a protective order against Duffey on June 10 on behalf of her 15-year-old daughter.

The teenager reportedly played on a youth basketball team coached by Duffey. Her mother alleged that Duffey kissed and touched the girl before another coach caught him.

The girl later told her mother that Duffey had also sent her messages, invited her to his hotel room during a basketball tournament and offered her money to remain silent about his alleged behavior.

That protective order was also extended through Aug. 24.

Gilson’s final TikTok has since taken on a horrifying new meaning, with the video appearing to foreshadow the allegations and violence that would follow less than two weeks later.

The Owasso Police Department has not released additional details about the child who called 911 or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

  1. They both look (looked 😊) like self-absorbed, high maintenance individuals.
