A Pennsylvania man is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and holding her, her child and her grandmother captive for several days while allegedly threatening, assaulting and terrorizing them.
Tylar Greenough, 30, was arrested after authorities said the abuse began on Friday, Aug. 28, at a home in Uniontown.
According to the Fayette County District Attorney’s Office, Greenough allegedly climbed through a window to get inside the residence even though his ex-girlfriend had an active protection order against him.
Once inside, police said he held the woman, her juvenile child and her grandmother against their will for roughly three days.
During that time, Greenough allegedly assaulted both adults and repeatedly threatened the family, according to an affidavit of probable cause reviewed by PEOPLE.
The woman told investigators that Greenough was angry because she had been sexually intimate with another man.
Authorities said Greenough then allegedly threatened to kill the grandmother and the child in front of his ex-girlfriend before killing her as well.
The disturbing ordeal allegedly escalated even further when Greenough forced the woman to arrange a meeting with the other man.
According to police, Greenough allegedly put the grandmother and the child in the trunk of a vehicle, hid in the backseat and forced his ex-girlfriend to drive to the meeting.
When the other man got into the car, Greenough allegedly tried to attack him.
The man managed to escape, but Greenough then allegedly forced his way into the driver’s seat and tried several times to run him over, according to the affidavit.
Police also accused Greenough of forcing his ex-girlfriend to file a false report claiming the other man had sexually abused her.
Authorities said Greenough eventually brought everyone back to the Uniontown residence.
The woman and her grandmother were finally able to go to police on Monday after Greenough left the home to go to work.
Greenough was later arrested and now faces a long list of charges.
According to online court records reviewed by PEOPLE, those charges include aggravated assault, kidnapping to inflict injury or terror, burglary, unlawful restraint involving serious bodily injury, terroristic threats and contempt for violating a protection order.
Court records did not list plea information or an attorney for Greenough.
The case remains under investigation.
