Woman Arrested of Breaking into Neighbor’s Home and Throwing Feces in Her Face

A Florida woman is facing burglary and battery charges after police say she forced her way into a neighbor’s home and threw a bucket filled with human feces at the victim during a bizarre dispute.

Yirsi Machado Rivera, 50, was arrested following the Sept. 7 incident at the Royal Country Mobile Homes community in Opa-locka, near Miami.

According to court records, Machado Rivera and the alleged victim live on opposite sides of a split trailer.

Police said the confrontation began when Machado Rivera started banging on her neighbor’s door.

When the neighbor opened it, Machado Rivera allegedly accused the woman of having a sexual relationship with her husband.

Things quickly escalated from there.

Authorities said Machado Rivera forced her way into the neighbor’s side of the trailer without permission and began shoving her.

Then, according to the arrest affidavit, she allegedly grabbed a bucket containing human feces and threw it on the victim’s face before leaving the home.

Police arrived shortly afterward and took Machado Rivera into custody.

But during an interview with officers, she reportedly gave a very different version of what happened.

After being read her Miranda rights, Machado Rivera told investigators she had been using a bucket as a makeshift toilet because the toilet in her home was broken.

She claimed she had been trying to get rid of the bucket of “caca” when she and the neighbor got into an argument over the smell.

Machado Rivera also accused the neighbor of hitting her in the head with a bat and causing a cut.

She denied forcing her way into the residence and denied throwing feces at the victim.

Police, however, said a witness gave a different account.

According to a note included in the charging documents, Machado Rivera allegedly told the witness that she had defecated in the bucket specifically so she could throw it in the neighbor’s face.

Machado Rivera is charged with one count of burglary and one count of battery.

She is being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

A Miami-Dade judge granted prosecutors’ request Tuesday to keep her in pretrial detention while the case moves forward.
