Tennessee police were investigating a shooting on Nov. 12 when they were ambushed by an armed man.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released bodycam video of the incident on YouTube.

According to Tennessee police, officers were responding to a reported shooting at a little after 2 a.m. Nov. 12 on Maple Street just outside of Nashville.

In the video, police are shown investigating the area when an unknown man walks under the caution tape. An officer was heard telling the man to take his hands out of his pockets.

The man then pulled out a gun and pointed it at officers. Tennessee police then returned fire, striking and killing the man.

Police stated that they are investigating to see whether or not the man was involved in the initial shooting, which left a 32-year-old dead.

Tennessee police stated that the man “inexplicably” opened fire on the officers in the suburb of Nashville.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, three officers returned fire on the suspect, who was later identified as Senquarius Demonta Williams, 26.

The TBI, which is investigating the incident, noted that none of the three officers involved were injured during the shooting.
