In Nashville, Tennessee, two ladies are behind bars, after committing a pretty dumb crime. First of all, all crimes are dumb, as rules are made to be followed and there are sometimes heavy consequences for breaking the law. However, if a person decided to commit a crime, this probably isn’t the best way to execute it. These two ladies decided to go to a Guitar Center, on November 1, where they took two guitars without paying. Combined, the guitars were worth $1,478.99. Security footage picked up the ladies taking the instruments and all employees were aware of the situation.
These past few years, there have been an alarming increase in theft cases. Nowadays, people are more likely to steal from a store than in years past. Normally, this time of year is often worse. With this being the holiday season, thieves take advantage of people not paying as close attention as they usually would. In addition, there are some people who cannot afford material items, so they simply decide to take them.
In this particular case, Laretha Wheeler age 33 and Jamie Fitzner, age 41, decided just one day after committing the robbery and getting away with it, to return to the same store. Upon arriving, they attempted to sell the stolen guitars back to them. As you can imagine, the surprised employees recognized the guitars right away and with the security footage as proof of the robbery, cops were called and both ladies were promptly arrested.
