Five people were crushed under an SUV in Colorado after the driver lost control of the vehicle and flipped while doing donuts in the parking lot of a strip mall over the weekend, according to a local media report.
The crash occurred Saturday night in southeast Colorado Springs. In an extremely graphic video circulating on social media, the car can be seen driving in reverse with multiple passengers hanging out of its windows before it tips over while a crowd of people looks on in horror.
Colorado Springs police began to receive calls about the crash around 10:15 p.m., according to a report by CBS News affiliate KKTV. Five people at the scene were taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Updates on the five were not immediately available.
The alleged driver of the SUV, identified as Marisol Wentling, was arrested for reckless driving and did not sustain major injuries.
Police believe the crowd of onlookers at the parking lot met up specifically to do donuts in their cars.
