A callous thief dragged a woman and broke her arm as he yanked her bag away at a trendy Soho bar, cops said this week.
The 54-year-old victim was sitting at Kenn’s Broome Street Bar around 9:50 p.m. Aug. 31 when a stranger tried to snatch her pocketbook off the chair next to her, authorities said.
When the victim tried to grab her purse back, the robber dragged the woman with the bag, breaking her left arm, cops said.
The mugger bolted from the watering hole — which sits at Broome Street and West Broadway — with about $1,400 worth of the victim’s personal items, police said.
The woman, whose arm was broken in the violent mugging, was taken to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, cops said.
A photo of the still-at-large suspect, released by the NYPD late Thursday, shows him talking on the phone as he passes through a subway turnstile.

The victim was careless Nobody should be carrying $1,400. worth of stuff. And putting the hand bag on the vacant chair was an invitation to theft. Incidents like this are why I no longer carry a handbag at all. My phone, wallet and cash remain hidden on my person. I try to be less prominent, so less of a target for the scumbags like him.
What a piece of crap! Nice shot of his ugly face, and hopefully they will get him soon. And when they do, why not break BOTH of his arms, so he can’t pull this stunt again!!
