Students at a high school in Baytown, Texas, are protesting the district’s response after a tragic stabbing outside a science classroom. The incident, which left 16-year-old Andrew Meismer dead, occurred at Ross S. Sterling High School this past Wednesday when 18-year-old Aundre Matthews allegedly stabbed Meismer during an argument.
The confrontation reportedly started over a vape pen, with both students excused to use the bathroom before the altercation turned deadly. The fight happened around 10:40 a.m., and despite being airlifted to Texas Medical Center, Meismer later died from his injuries.
Following the incident, the school briefly went into lockdown. Matthews’ attorney, Gianpaolo Macerola, has demanded to see surveillance footage to better understand the events leading to the stabbing.
The shocking death has led many students to voice their anger over the district’s handling of the situation. They argue that the school failed to act on previous warning signs and could have prevented the tragedy. “This could have been prevented,” said 10th grader Maria Blanco. “Now somebody’s life is lost, and when they had the time to do something about it, they didn’t.”
Sophomore Lilly Williams, who described Meismer as “very kind,” also spoke out, saying, “We are not safe. We are not safe here.”
At a protest, students held signs that read, “How many warnings are enough?” and “Our voices matter.”
Matthews was arrested and charged with murder, and his bond was set at $3.3 million.

He committed an adult crime .Maybe he would learn something while incarcerated to become a good citizen
As usual the school catered to a black kid, so they wouldn’t be “racist” even thought they have been warned by many that this kid was a problem. They need to start suing these school administrators personally so that they are personally liable for these situations instead of hiding behind the school district. Blacks just can’t function in civilized society.
