A quiet Alabama community is reeling after a horrifying discovery inside a family home that has left investigators searching for answers.

Authorities say three members of the same family were found brutally killed inside their home in Wilmer, Alabama, on Monday, April 20. According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were identified as 46-year-old Lisa Gail Fields, her 17-year-old daughter Keziah Luker, and her 12-year-old son Thomas Cordelle Jr.

As of now, no suspects or persons of interest have been publicly identified.

Details emerging from the investigation paint a deeply disturbing picture. Authorities say Lisa was stabbed and had her throat cut. Keziah, who was reportedly eight months pregnant, was fatally shot. Thomas was found with his throat slit, and reports indicate the injuries were especially severe.

All three victims were discovered in separate rooms, with their hands bound behind their backs using zip ties — a detail that has led investigators to believe more than one person may have been involved.

The scene inside the home suggested it had been ransacked, with authorities believing the suspects may have been searching for something.

The tragic discovery was made after Keziah’s boyfriend, who was at work at the time, noticed unusual activity on her phone through the Life360 app. When he couldn’t reach her, he asked his father to check on her. That visit led to the devastating 911 call.

In the middle of the chaos, there was one small miracle — an 18-month-old child, believed to be Keziah’s, was found inside the home physically unharmed.

Investigators say they do not currently believe the killings were domestic in nature, but the motive remains unclear.

As the community struggles to process what happened, the victims’ loved ones are speaking out through grief and disbelief. Lisa’s husband, Nathan Fields, has publicly pleaded for answers, even offering a $1,000 reward for information that could lead to those responsible.

“Everyone knows we lost three very special people… senseless and uncalled for,” he wrote, remembering his wife as someone who made his life better.

Family members describe Lisa as kind and caring, Thomas as a sweet child, and Keziah as fun-loving and devoted to her young daughter.

“I can’t imagine who would want to hurt my sister,” Lisa’s sister said. “It takes a very sick individual to do something like this.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover funeral expenses for the family as investigators continue working to piece together what led to the shocking crime.

For now, a community is left grieving — and waiting for justice.
