A man in Ohio was shot in the face for refusing to share a bag of potato chips with a stranger, according to the police.
Melvin Wright, 42, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly shooting a 31-year-old man in the face Tuesday night on the 40 block of Stanton Avenue, Cleveland 19 reported.
Wright reportedly asked the man outside Lusty Adventures, an adult entertainment club, for some of his potato chips, but he refused, according to the Akron Beacon Journal.
The victim told the police that Wright then allegedly pulled out a large handgun and shot him before escaping in a vehicle.
The 42-year-old was arrested after he was seen boarding a bus at the Metro Transit on South Broadway Street, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. He was carrying a handgun when he was arrested, the one that might have been used in the shooting.
The Akron Police Department said the victim is currently being hospitalized at Summa Health Akron City Hospital after he went to the emergency room on his own.
Wright was charged with felonious assault and weapons under disability and is currently being held at Summit County Jail.

I had a friend who spent a week in Cook County Jail in Chicago. He said chow time was the worst. People were always asking him if he was going to eat a particular on his tray that EVERYBODY got for whatever meal they were eating. He always answered “yes.” One time, an inmate took issue and the next thing he knew he was encircled by 20 inmates with he and the food requesting inmate in the middle. It was all over a small bag of Fritos.
He defended himself and won. No deaths, and he was out in a week. 8 years later he killed himself by stepping in front of a commuter train moving quickly. The engineer said he walked out, took a drag of his smoke, and poof.
The perp looks like a man who would shoot someone over a refusal of food.
The worst part about this is that sicko will be let go to do it to somebody else. Jackasses like this either need to be left in jail to rot or put them on some kind of chain gang and make them work on the side of the road
