A 68-year-old woman was fighting for her life Monday after a robber punched her in the face and knocked her down a Queens church staircase Sunday before stealing her purse and taking off in her car.
The NYPD released surveillance images Monday of the suspect they’re searching for in the violent robbery outside Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Briarwood.
The victim was in front of the church on 152nd Street at 8:20 a.m. when a male, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, sucker punched her, causing her to fall down the flight of stairs, police said.

The thief stole her purse, which contained $300 cash, a cell phone, credit card and car keys, according to cops.
He then fled in the victim’s 2006 Nissan Altima, police said.
EMS rushed the victim to New York-Presbyterian Queens, where she was listed in critical condition.
When he is found he should be re,over from society . Solitary confinement
How horrible!! Some woman minding their own business and some creep decides to rob her blind!! The laws are much too weak, and if we don’t start locking up these lowlifes, they will continue to think they can get away with doing this! Teenagers think they are above the law, and because there are no severe consequences, these creeps are running rampart, and getting away with everything! They should be tried as adults, and have to pay the price for their behavior! Does anyone really believe that if a “minor” behaves like this while they are young, that they will grow up to be model citizens? Highly unlikely! Get them off the streets, before they can do more damage to others. Hoping and praying that this poor woman pulls throw, and long enough to press charges against this scum!!
Doesn’t even have to be mom or grandmother. Even a young girl. Or could be a young man. Nevertheless, I hope they catch this thug and spot on with the other comments, this nonsense has to stop…Hope she does recuperate fully.

Theirs only one answer to this dilemma is to change juvenile law!Most all these juvenile’s are 4 or 5 time offenders!They should be tried as an adult and the time should fit the punishment!It will extend over to adult prison if the sentence calls for it!This is the answer but no one wants to hear that until their involved!
When your soft on crime b.s. ends then so will the violence. When you catch someone who would do that they should appear as if they tripped on the wait to the jail.
