Shocking surveillance video captured the moment a would-be teen thief snatched an unsuspecting bystander’s cell phone and made a run for it — only to be stopped dead in his tracks by a bus.

The horrifying footage from Brazil, posted online on X on Saturday, shows the 17-year-old crook eyeballing a 71-year-old man who is talking on his a phone on a Sao Paolo street corner on Friday.

The teen then lunges and grabs the phone, then dashes off leaving the stunned victim in his tracks.

But the teen, seen wearing shorts, a black t-shirt and a black baseball cap, is then pummeled by a city bus and dragged for several feet as he tried to run across the street.

The grisly video is obscured to shield viewers from what is obviously a gory outcome for the thief.

He was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, the post said.

“Karma is real,” one commenter wrote about the clip.

Quipped another, “I hope the old guy’s phone didn’t break.”

  1. The little jerk got what all thieves richly deserve. This act was doubly despicable because the airhead thief chose an elder as his victim. I was taught to respect my elders. Apparently this criminal had no respect for anyone.

  2. Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha Hahahahahaha Love it 😀 🤣
Exactly what the little asshole deserves.

    1. If it was the U.S. the 17 year old’s family would be suing the city and a bunch of dumb ass people would think it gave them the right to protest and destroy and loot local businesses.
