A Wisconsin man is facing serious charges after allegedly beating a 72-year-old bus driver because he was “having a bad day” and thought the older man had taken his phone.
Anthony Miller, 23, has been charged with battery to a public transit operator and physical abuse of an elderly person, according to Milwaukee County court records. The brutal attack happened on July 18 aboard a Milwaukee County Transit System bus.
Police say Miller got off the bus around 10:30 a.m. but then forced his way back inside, shoving the door open and accusing the driver of stealing his phone. According to the criminal complaint, Miller pushed past the protective plexiglass and punched the elderly driver in the face about 20 times.
The driver suffered a deep four-inch cut on his forehead that required stitches, along with swelling and pain across his face and head. After the attack, Miller fled the scene.
Detectives used surveillance footage to identify him, and he was arrested days later. When questioned, Miller admitted he was involved, blaming his actions on stress over rent and his stolen car. He told investigators he thought the driver had his phone, and claimed he was assaulted first — though police say there’s no evidence to support that.
Miller is being held on $5,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 25. Meanwhile, the victim is recovering from his injuries, and Milwaukee officials are calling the attack a disturbing reminder of the risks public transit workers face every day.

But, but, but…. white liberals cannot comprehend why jails and prisons are disproportionately black.
Lord in Jesus’ name, please heal the driver of his wounds and those that can’t be seen. If he doesn’t know Jesus, please give him eyes to see and ears to hear the Truth and send Your servants with Your Word to bring him into a deep relationship with Your Son Jesus and the same for the attacker, that they would meet the most beautiful Friend in all eternity Who will give them His Spirit and change their hearts to follow Him forever….please Lord cause these two men to open the door and invite Your Son into their lives, to be connected to Jesus forever in repentance, love, gratitude and worship. Thank You Lord. I love You.
Hope he gets the same treatment
