An OnlyFans model and former adult film star who once served in the U.S. Coast Guard has been sentenced for carrying out a cold-blooded execution in the Ohio woods.
Chelsea Perkins, 35, of Alexandria, Virginia, was handed 22 and a half years in federal prison for the 2021 killing of 31-year-old Matthew Dunmire. Prosecutors say Perkins lured him into Cuyahoga Valley National Park, marched him deep into the trees, and shot him in the back of the head.
Investigators say the two had a complicated history. Perkins had accused Dunmire of raping her years earlier, though no charges were ever filed. In March 2021, she drove more than 300 miles from Virginia in her husband’s Smart car to meet him after reconnecting online. They spent a night at an Airbnb before she led him on a hike past ravines and cemeteries—ending with a single fatal gunshot.
Authorities say Perkins didn’t just walk away. After the murder, she drove to Michigan to get a tattoo of a noose inked on her arm, then returned home to Virginia. A search of her house uncovered multiple 9mm pistols, including the murder weapon hidden inside her purse alongside her ID. Surveillance, ballistic evidence, and even a deleted fake suicide note on her phone tied her directly to the crime.
Prosecutors called it a “coldly calculated intention to cause his death.” In May, Perkins pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and a firearms charge, avoiding a possible 25-year maximum.
In court this week, she told Dunmire’s family, “I take full responsibility for what I’ve done.” But the victim’s father painted a devastating picture of the aftermath, saying, “My son was a good person too and now his children have no father.”
Perkins will also serve five years of supervised release once out of prison. Restitution to Dunmire’s family will be determined at a later date.
