Two children, just 9 and 10 years old, are now facing a long list of serious charges in Cleveland after allegedly assaulting and severely injuring a 5-year-old girl in a case that has gained national attention.
The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday that a 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy have both been charged with attempted murder, multiple counts of rape, felonious assault, kidnapping, and strangulation.
The disturbing incident happened on September 13 and first came to light after the victim’s mother, Antavia Kennibrew, shared her daughter’s story on social media, calling for justice.
According to Kennibrew, her daughter was lured away from a relative’s home by a group of children and later found in a nearby field with devastating injuries. “My daughter was not my daughter,” Kennibrew told local station WOIO. “Her hair was scalped from her head. She had bruises and blood all over her body. Her eyes were filled with blood. Her lips and mouth were filled with blood.”
Police confirmed that their Sex Crimes and Child Abuse Unit is actively investigating the case, which involves multiple children as both victims and suspects.
Kennibrew alleges that the attackers left her daughter unconscious, physically brutalized her, and attempted to strangle her with her shirt. She also says her daughter is now struggling emotionally and mentally in the aftermath of the assault.
“She is mentally not OK. I am mentally not OK,” Kennibrew said. “Me not getting justice for my daughter makes me feel like I failed her.”

Are they too young for capital punishment? I don’t think so. If they think doing something like this is okay as children, what makes you think they won’t be doing equally gruesome things as adults? Get rid of them, and get rid of them now!! Maybe if people realize that capital punishment might be the end result, they will think twice before committing acts as disgusting as this!!
What monster parents raised those creatures? They should NEVER be released into the general population, no mater how young they are. They knew what they were doing was wrong.
