A Florida man is facing serious charges after deputies say he went on a dangerous rampage behind the wheel—targeting multiple cars, including one carrying a nine-months-pregnant woman and her two young children.

Nathaniel Rayman, 50, a teacher at Dreyfoos School of the Arts, is accused of intentionally crashing into several vehicles after telling authorities he “lost it” over his wife’s alleged infidelity.

According to investigators, the chaos unfolded around 3:20 p.m. on April 5 at the intersection of Wildcat Way and Okeechobee Boulevard in Palm Beach County. Deputies arrived to find multiple damaged vehicles, including a white Kia and a Toyota RAV4.

The driver of the Kia told deputies she was stopped at a red light when a black Toyota slammed into the SUV in front of her. But what happened next was even more terrifying.

Instead of driving away, the suspect allegedly paused—then suddenly accelerated straight toward her vehicle at full speed.

The woman, who told deputies she was nine months pregnant, had her 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son in the car at the time. She said the crash felt intentional, telling authorities the driver came directly at her instead of trying to avoid her.

After the impact, witnesses say the driver briefly got out, looked at the damage, then fled the scene. One person was able to grab the license plate number, which helped deputies track the vehicle back to Rayman’s home.

Authorities say the damage on his car matched the crash—and the situation didn’t end there.

Investigators say Rayman kept driving after the collisions, hitting a stop sign, a mailbox, and a cable box before finally stopping.

When deputies later spoke with him at the hospital, they noted he appeared impaired, with “red, glassy eyes.” He admitted to drinking about six beers and repeatedly told investigators he “lost it” after learning about his wife’s alleged affair.

He also claimed he didn’t remember much about the crash and admitted he “messed up” when asked why he didn’t stop.

Rayman is now charged with assault with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a crash with injuries. Investigators say the way he allegedly drove directly toward the pregnant woman’s car is what led to the more serious charge.

The woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation, while her children were safely picked up by a family member.

Meanwhile, school officials confirmed Rayman has been placed on administrative leave and is under internal investigation.
