Two men were hospitalized after police say they were attacked with hammers outside a Burger King in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

The violent assault happened at about 9:03 p.m. near 65th Street and 14th Avenue in the Dyker Heights neighborhood.

According to police, two unidentified men approached two 36-year-old victims outside the restaurant and struck them in the head with hammers.

Both victims suffered cuts to their heads during the attack.

They were taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn by private vehicle rather than ambulance.

Police said both men were listed in stable condition.

The suspects fled the scene on foot, heading north along 14th Avenue.

Authorities described both men as wearing black sweatshirts.

Police have not released any information about what may have led to the attack or whether the victims knew their alleged assailants.

No arrests had been announced as of the latest update.

Investigators are continuing to search for the two suspects and determine what sparked the violent confrontation outside the fast-food restaurant.

The case remains under investigation.
