Andre Gordon Jr., the Pennsylvania man behind a brutal 2024 rampage that left three of his own family members dead, has officially been sentenced — and he’ll never walk free again.
On May 28, Gordon, 27, was handed three consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to first-degree murder for the killings of his 52-year-old stepmother Karen Murphy-Gordon, his 13-year-old sister Kera Gordon, and 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, the mother of his two children.
The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office confirmed the sentencing in a press release, calling the crimes “pure horror.”
“This was nothing short of a massacre,” Bucks County Judge Raymond F. McHugh said in court. “There are no words to explain why this happened.”
The violence unfolded on the morning of March 16, 2024. It began in Trenton, New Jersey, where Gordon carjacked someone before driving to Falls Township, Pennsylvania. Armed with an assault rifle, he stormed into his father’s house, where Karen and young Kera were hiding in a home office.
In a chilling 911 call, Karen can be heard telling dispatchers, “My stepson is shooting.” Kera pleads, “Please, please, please hurry.” Moments later, gunshots and screams ring out — followed by silence.
Police arrived to find Karen and Kera dead. Miraculously, Gordon’s father, Karen’s other daughter, and a visiting relative were unharmed.
Minutes later, Gordon made his way to the nearby home of Taylor Daniel, his former partner and mother of his two daughters, aged 3 and 5. In another haunting 911 call, Taylor is heard screaming, “He’s got a gun!” before more gunshots cut the call short. Her terrified children can then be heard crying, calling for their “mommy.”
Prosecutors said Taylor’s mother, Nancy Daniel, tried to intervene and was bludgeoned with Gordon’s rifle. She survived but needed staples to close a head wound.
After fleeing that scene, Gordon carjacked another man outside a Dollar General in Morrisville. The chaos led to a three-hour shelter-in-place order across the region before he was captured later that day in Trenton. He had barricaded himself in a home with hostages.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said Gordon “was hunting” during his attacks and called the 911 calls “some of the most heartbreaking evidence” she’s ever encountered.
Karen Murphy-Gordon, remembered as an Army veteran who immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica, died trying to protect her children. Her daughter, Kera, was a bright middle school student who played the clarinet and was described as a “young and gifted teenager.”
Taylor Daniel, a devoted mom, was also hailed for shielding her children during the attack.
“I lost more than my sister and my niece,” Karen’s brother said in court. “I lost a piece of myself that I never thought I would come back from.”
In addition to his murder convictions, Gordon pleaded guilty to a list of charges including attempted homicide, burglary, robbery, aggravated assault, and more. He’s also serving a separate 3.5- to 7-year sentence for assaulting two correctional officers while behind bars in May 2024.

Agreed! He should be murdered the way he killed those innocent people!
Why wasn’t he given the death sentence? He killed them all. Why feed and cloth him for life on the tax payers. The poor kids didn’t have a chance at life. Wake up people!
