A New York man on the run after allegedly murdering his wife, went on to stab his ex-wife to death in a shocking double homicide that stunned law enforcement across multiple states.
Timothy Taylor has pleaded guilty to the brutal killing of Tishawn Folkes-Taylor, his ex-wife and the mother of two of his children. The murder took place inside her Schenectady, New York home on May 28, 2023, after Taylor traveled there from North Carolina.
At the time, Taylor was already wanted in Brooklyn for the murder of his current wife. According to prosecutors, he left New York City after that killing and made a deliberate trip upstate to target his former spouse.
He was finally captured days later, on June 2, in Philadelphia and extradited back to New York to face murder charges.
In a chilling confession, Taylor allegedly told detectives that after killing his current wife, he felt remorse—but that his ex, in his words, “deserved it.” According to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, he admitted to harboring long-standing hatred toward Folkes-Taylor and intended to kill her all along.
Folkes-Taylor had been married to Taylor for more than a decade before they split. Prosecutors revealed that when Taylor came to her home that day, she knew exactly what he intended to do—and still made sure to shield their children.
“She faced down her killer and protected her kids,” said District Attorney Robert Carney. “Even after he stabbed her more than 22 times, Mr. Taylor fled without harming them. These children, especially the oldest, who was in high school at the time, helped us bring this case to justice.”
Taylor now faces 22 years to life in prison for the murder of his ex-wife. He’s also still awaiting trial for the murder of his current wife in Brooklyn.

Another sad testament reinforcing that the studies and theories of Charles Darwin and Dr. Albert Schweitzer are now proven facts!
