The parents of an Indiana grade-schooler are facing serious charges after allegedly storming onto a school bus and attacking multiple children during a chaotic Halloween morning confrontation.
According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by , 27-year-old Donquarious Ridley and 25-year-old Raven Barner boarded a Greenwood school bus on Oct. 31 after their son was picked up. Witnesses told police the pair climbed aboard without permission and immediately began yelling at students they believed had been bullying their child. Barner is the boy’s stepmother.
Police said bus surveillance footage captured the entire incident. In the video, Barner allegedly singled out two children, threatening one boy that she would “beat his a—” before telling him she’d have her stepson do it instead. Officers say she even encouraged her stepson to “start an altercation.”
When the bus driver attempted to intervene, Barner allegedly struck two children — hitting one of them unintentionally during the chaos.
Ridley, meanwhile, was seen egging on his son to fight the boy Barner had confronted. Police say the child followed his father’s instruction, striking the other boy, while Ridley grabbed the victim and threw him to the floor so his son could continue hitting him. Ridley then allegedly shoved another child into a seat so forcefully that the child bounced into the side of the bus.
After reviewing the footage, officers located Ridley and Barner in their vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Both were arrested and booked into the Johnson County Jail.
Ridley faces two counts of battery on a child under 14 and an additional charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Barner is also charged with two counts of battery on a child under 14. Neither appeared on the county jail roster as of Tuesday.
Ridley is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 1, while Barner is set for a Dec. 4 hearing.

Now we wonder why so many kids are committing crimes with parents like these some kids have no chance of growing up to be good citizens
