Man Brutally Murders Pregnant Partner in Apartment with Their 3 Other Children Inside

A Florida community is reeling after a pregnant mother of three was brutally killed just days before Christmas in what authorities say was a violent domestic attack.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Mario Alejandro Ramirez was arrested early December 23 and charged with second-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his partner inside their Oakland Park apartment.

Deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance just before 1 a.m. at an apartment complex in Oakland Park, Florida. When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators identified the victim as Fayanni Andreina Ramirez, Mario’s partner and the mother of his three children. Authorities later confirmed she was pregnant at the time of the attack.

Deputies also found Mario inside the apartment with what appeared to be self-inflicted injuries. Authorities said officers struggled to restrain him while applying pressure to stop his bleeding. He was taken into custody and transported to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment before being booked into jail.

Court records and local reports reveal a troubling history between the couple. Fayanni reportedly had an active restraining order against Mario stemming from a prior incident, according to investigators cited by WPLG Local 10.

Neighbors described horrifying scenes unfolding inside the apartment. One resident told Local 10 they heard loud banging, screaming, and what sounded like furniture being thrown. Another neighbor, Paola Alvarez, told NBC Miami she watched the couple’s three children run out of the apartment covered in blood.

“That’s something they’ll never be able to erase from their minds,” Alvarez said.

Crime scene photos obtained by local outlets reportedly show blood splattered on a window and a tarp covering a body inside the apartment.

Mario Ramirez was held without bail and appeared before a judge on December 26. Investigators say his motive remains unclear, and the case is still under investigation.
