A Pennsylvania man who admitted to cutting his wife’s throat with a steak knife has been sentenced to life in prison.
James Christopher Frank was sentenced Wednesday, June 17, after pleading guilty last week to first-degree murder in the 2025 death of his wife, 55-year-old Deborah Glaser, according to the Northampton County Office of the District Attorney.
Glaser was found dead in the bathtub of the couple’s home in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Bethlehem Township police were called to the home around 8:30 a.m. on March 11, 2025, after a family member requested a welfare check.
When officers arrived, no one answered the door. Police used a ladder to reach the second floor of the home, where they encountered Frank, prosecutors said.
After officers asked him to open the door, Frank allegedly led them to the bedroom and told them, “My wife is dead in the bathtub.”
Police detained Frank and found Glaser in the bathtub with multiple stab wounds to her chest.
Inside the bathroom, investigators found numerous cutting instruments, including knives, razor blades and box cutters, along with a mallet, prosecutors said.
According to authorities, Frank admitted to police that he used a steak knife to cut Glaser’s throat in the trachea area while she was still alive.
Prosecutors said Frank also told officers he used “a knife and hammer” to puncture Glaser’s chest and heart about 10 times.
Frank allegedly told police the purpose was to make sure Glaser was dead.
After pleading guilty to first-degree murder, Frank was sentenced to life in prison.

Enough of this premeditated murderers are filling up our jail cells. What they will do next is let them go. Premeditated murderers have to be put to death.
